Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Waynesville, NC to support the Store Manager with daily operations, merchandising, and customer service excellence. You will help drive sales, manage inventory, and coach staff in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires familiarity with product areas, policy adherence, and the ability to assume store leadership in the manager's absence, ensuring goals are met and service remains outstanding.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Ensure profitability by monitoring inventory, sales statistics, and expenses.
