Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Wisconsin is seeking a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager with daily operations and to learn all product areas in our store. You will promote sales, deliver outstanding customer service, and help drive store initiatives.

As a Manager in Training, you may assume supervisory duties in the Store Manager’s absence and guide staff across departments to achieve sales and service goals while upholding company policies and visual manuals.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking ability.
• Team-player with passion for customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Develop action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Step in and supervise store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department standards and responsibilities are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service per policy manuals.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service during peak times and promotions.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies and procedures as documented in manuals and memos.
• Guard assets and financial information by ensuring internal controls.
