Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Knowledge of recruiting, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations and address gaps.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store as required, including shifts per week.
• Evaluate operating statements for sales, profitability, turn, and costs.
• Manage inventory targets and cycle counts; review ordering plans.
• Facilitate staging, stocking and storage of merchandise per processes.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cash control; ensure security practices.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, well-organized store environment.
• Ensure proper equipment and compliance with SOPs.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on deadlines.
