Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations in a fast-paced environment. You will recruit and develop staff, oversee daily workflows, and ensure excellent customer service and store presentation.

Responsibilities include stocking, merchandising, pricing, cash handling, and adherence to safety and security policies. The role requires prior retail management experience and a passion for delivering results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; management experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire, train, coach and discipline staff in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Knowledge of store operations including ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees and ensures proper staffing.
• Provides training and conducts performance evaluations; counsels or terminates as needed.
• Monitors sales, profitability, and shrink; controls expenses and improves store performance.
• Ensures cash handling and deposit procedures are followed; maintains cashier accountability.
• Maintains an organized, safe, and customer-friendly store environment; schedules opening/closing shifts.
