Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions and/or counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings to reinforce policies.
• Ensure store is staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Open the store at least twice and close at least twice per week.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses and opportunities.
• Order to meet or exceed in-stock targets and manage inventory processes.
• Staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following defined processes.
• Present merchandise per established practices with correct pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory and control damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash controls.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized store environment.
• Ensure store is equipped with tools to perform tasks and comply with policies.
• Follow SOPs and complete paperwork on time.
