Job summary

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Mathematical calculations including percentages and basic algebra.
• Cash handling procedures with accountability and deposits.
• Experience using IBM cash register/ POS systems to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
• Recruiting, interviewing, and applying termination practices including legal compliance.
• Familiarity with cash, facility and safety control policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees in compliance with federal/state laws and company policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address gaps or counseling needs up to termination.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure the store is consistently staffed and properly opened/closed.
