Job summary

AAA Club Alliance in Dayton, OH is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to lead store operations and drive revenue while delivering excellent member service. Under supervision, you will oversee staff, scheduling, training and performance, ensuring adherence to policies, audits and regulatory requirements.

You will help coordinate promotions, manage product displays and partnerships, and support the store’s budget and metrics while prioritizing a positive member experience and community presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
• 3-4+ years of business experience required.
• 1-2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Ability to co-manage a retail operation under the direction of a higher level manager.
• Proficient in MS Office and Internet tools for reporting and communication.
• Knowledge of DMV laws is preferred for the state of the store.

Responsibilities

• Foster a sales and quality culture focused on scorecard goals (revenue growth, sales, quality).
• Cross-sell products and services during each customer interaction.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the retail store, including staff admin, facilities, purchasing and bookkeeping.
• Oversee scheduling, recruitment, training, motivation and coaching of associates.
• Ensure compliance with policies, audits and DMV requirements; maintain strong customer service standards.
