Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all facets of store operations, including staffing, training, merchandising, and customer service leadership. You will drive sales, manage scheduling, and ensure accurate cash handling and loss prevention.

The role requires strong leadership, compliance with policies, and the ability to coach staff to improve performance while delivering a safe, well-organized shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, identify gaps and counsel or terminate when needed.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement opportunities for staff.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinate meetings and events to ensure compliance.
• Open and close the store at least twice weekly to maintain daily operations.
