Job summary

maurices in Spring, TX is hiring for a Manager in Training (MIT). The MIT works with the store manager to achieve sales goals, drive a customer-focused environment, and develop talent.

The program trains candidates for a Store Manager position within 3–6 months, with relocation to a specified store group as needed. You will participate in all training modules and temporarily assume managerial responsibilities while building product knowledge and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; a business or retail merchandising degree preferred.
• Supervisory experience required in a customer focused environment; experience in the fashion industry preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving and setting goals and executing company direction.
• Experience in hiring, promoting, and motivating talent.
• Proven ability to lead by example, make sound decisions, and demonstrate professionalism.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in achieving sales goals and driving a customer-focused store environment.
• Lead by example and provide coaching to team on service, product knowledge, and appearance.
• Manage talent and performance, scheduling, and payroll considerations.
• Ensure visual standards and company direction are executed across the store.
• Participate in training modules to prepare for Store Manager role within 3–6 months.
• Relocate to a specified new store or group of stores as required.
