Job summary

Hibbett is seeking a Manager in Training in Indianapolis, IN to support Store Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. You will become knowledgeable across product areas and promote sales, promotions, and policies, while assisting with scheduling, merchandising, and store initiatives.

You will assume supervisory duties in the Store Manager’s absence and help guide a team toward store goals and profitability, delivering outstanding service to every customer.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.
• Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager in establishing action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and be trained in Store Manager’s responsibilities.
• Provide extraordinary customer service and promote merchandise.
