Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. is seeking a Manager in Training to support store operations and administration. You will gain knowledge across product areas, help determine effective methods to reach store goals, and promote sales and promotions.

The role serves as an acting supervisor in the Store Manager’s absence and focuses on delivering outstanding customer service and merchandise promotion to build long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of the store.
• Consult with Store Manager in establishing action plans to accomplish responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Assure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and be trained in Store Manager’s responsibilities.
• Produce and give extraordinary customer service and promote merchandise.
