Job summary

The State of New Hampshire is seeking a Retail Store Manager I for our Hinsdale outlet. You will supervise daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, supervise staff up to Retail Salesperson III level, and help manage merchandising, deposits, and inventory.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and flexibility for day/evening/weekend hours. Training and advancement opportunities are available within the NH Liquor Commission.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to continuously lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent lifting of cases up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service by building a loyal customer base and enhancing NH Liquor Commission reputation.
• Acts as a store manager in a low volume retail environment and supervises store personnel up to the Retail Salesperson III level.
• In a large volume store, assists with daily store operations including opening/closing, merchandising displays, deposits, and inventories.
• Provides routine training and guidance to store employees on operations.
• Accounts for stock and maintains inventory levels, including anticipating sale items.
• Calculates sales transactions and prepares bank deposits.
• Reviews computer printouts and makes recommendations to the Store Manager.
• Supervises store personnel and may fill in for a higher-level Store Manager for short periods.
• On occasion, travels to other stores to support operations.
