Job summary

Wild Bills Tobacco Staffing LLC seeks a Retail Store Manager to oversee daily operations at one of our tobacco retail locations. You’ll manage staff, inventory, finances, and customer service to drive sales and ensure compliance with company policies.

The ideal candidate has retail management experience, is hands-on, and can lead a team delivering exceptional service while maintaining store standards. This role requires over 40 hours/week, weekend and holiday availability, and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years or older.
• Completion of high school degree.
• 1–2 years of previous manager experience.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays if needed.
• Flexible to work 12 hour shifts at times.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, select and retain top talent.
• Motivate, coach, develop, lead, and train the store employees on an ongoing basis.
• Create opportunities to develop team's product knowledge to be the expert.
• Develop team selling skills to meet or exceed sales goals.
• Manage and supervise a team of retail employees, including scheduling and performance management.
• Promote company policies and procedures and ensure all employees comply.
• Guide team to identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity.
• Set clear performance expectations and ensure store team is trained in sales, customer service, and operations to meet company standards.
• Communicate priorities and sales driving information effectively to ensure store employees are equipped to maximize business opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure the store is properly stocked with inventory and manage inventory levels and product ordering.
• Obtain product knowledge about all products and be aware of launches and promotions.
• Create relationships with customers to suggest products.
• Meet or exceed store sales and operational goals.
• Manage all store operations daily: inventory, cash handling, staffing, customer service, cash reconciliation, bank deposits.
• Assist customers with sales transactions and provide excellent customer service.
• Develop plans and follow up to maximize sales and drive consistent performance results.
• Identify performance opportunities and partner with District Manager to address issues.
• Stay informed on corporate communication, directives, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
• Implement store programs to increase efficiencies in sales, service, operations, and branding.
• Most business hours on the sales floor, coaching employees and running the business.
