Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance, fosters a productive team, and ensures exceptional customer service. MITs participate in hands-on assignments and structured learning, with an 8–12 week pathway to management based on performance.

As a Manager in Training, you’ll lead by example, focus on leadership development, and support daily store operations while preparing for leadership openings within AutoZone.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year: 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Flexible Schedule: Full‑time availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to develop a high‑performing, engaged store team.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with employees and customers to drive store execution and performance.
• Learn to manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly P&L statements to optimize store profitability.
• Support store operations, ensure compliance with policies, and uphold structured training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training employees to develop a strong, successful team.
• Take charge of customer service activities, ensuring outstanding experiences.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, store merchandising, and sales strategies to maximize success.
• Complete management skills training, learning key aspects of store operations and AutoZone culture.
