Citi Trends in Markham, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and drive sales performance. You’ll collaborate with the Store Manager on hiring, onboarding, and development of associates to maintain high standards of service.

The role requires 2–4 years in retail leadership, strong communication, and flexibility to work nights and weekends. You will uphold safety, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards while contributing to a positive team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling and service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, onboarding and training of staff.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment and ensure policy adherence.
