Meijer is seeking a Store Leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service excellence, and maintain store standards to support sales and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store; customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; focus on customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions; make recommendations on discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Promote safety and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure thorough training and development of staff.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
