Citi Trends in Clinton, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help drive daily store operations, lead a sales team, and support hiring and onboarding. You will partner with the Store Manager to meet sales goals, manage inventory, coaching, and ensure excellent customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years in retail leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3-5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support staff in sales, inventory, cash handling, and service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training support.
• Maintain staffing levels by supporting recruiting and retention.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Uphold safe, organized, customer-focused environment.
• Support merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
