Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Under Store Manager direction, you’ll supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, and assist with deposits and paperwork.

You’ll also stock, cashier, and perform other duties to maximize profits and reduce losses. You will open/close the store on a minimum of two days weekly, help schedule staff, train, and ensure compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience with supervisory exposure preferred.
• Strong customer service, cash handling and scheduling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, rotating displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with planograms and deposits.
