Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Spokane, WA to support store operations, guest services, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise flow, and maintaining clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms.

This role requires leading by example, training associates, and ensuring safety and policy compliance. The position emphasizes strong communication, customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and follow directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise, and maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and stockroom to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Ensure store areas are clean, stocked, and presentable; protect assets including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; enforce policies.
• Maintain a safe, respectful customer and employee environment.
