Job summary

Dollar Tree in Clarkston, WA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, staffing, and promotions while upholding standards and safety guidelines.

You will help open/close the store, manage tasks, and collaborate with the Store Manager to train associates and maintain a welcoming, organized retail environment for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; able to interpret directives and store operations.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
