Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Store Manager in Training to lead a store’s merchandising, operations and customer service. You’ll train on-the-job to manage profitable store operations, recruit and coach associates, and implement directives from our corporate office.

We value strong communication, team leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A quarterly bonus is available upon meeting performance goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training and coaching.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement directives from corporate headquarters.
• Help store reach maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain high level of customer service across the store.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
