Job summary

Dollar Tree Store Manager in Training is seeking candidates for on‑the‑job training to learn how to manage profitable store operations, merchandising, and signage to create an inviting customer experience.

Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, and supervising associates; overseeing daily store activities; ensuring compliance and safety; and executing directives from corporate. A quarterly bonus is offered for performance goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height; frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters.
• Help your store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
