Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Oklahoma City, OK seeks a Manager in Training in the Operations department. You will assist the Store Manager with daily store operations, merchandising, and customer service to drive sales.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Help set action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Assure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed and learn Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Produce and give extraordinary customer service highlighted in the customer service manual.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Practice and uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards as listed in manuals.
• Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring internal controls and reporting potential fraud.
