Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, scheduling, and achieving store goals. You will learn all product areas, promote promotions, and serve as a customer experience ambassador.

In this role you’ll supervise in the Store Manager’s absence, guide team members, monitor inventory and sales trends, and uphold company policies while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and achieve goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking ability.
• Team-player with outstanding customer service and selling skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities are completed.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain extraordinary customer service as outlined in manuals.
• Perform administrative duties and be trained in Store Manager’s responsibilities.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise.
