Job summary

Chico’s FAS, Inc. is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving a customer- and product-focused sales culture.

You will help manage sales operations, assets, and HR functions to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. You will lead a team, train staff on product knowledge, and ensure compliance with policies while delivering a positive omni-channel experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
• Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs; partners with Store Manager to execute in-store sales strategies.
• Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding team accountable for brand, performance, and behavior standards.
• Controls payroll and supply budget; performs and oversees scheduling, audits, time sheets, and payroll accuracy documents.
• Performs financial activities in accordance with policy, including cash handling, price changes, and merchandise handling; ensures register transactions are accurate.
• Ensures compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures; conducts associate training to reinforce controls.
• Manages inventory receipts/dispatch, daily replenishment, and physical inventories; ensures visual presentation and store maintenance.
• Develops a high-performance culture, motivates the sales team to meet goals; trains on product knowledge and locate fulfillment.
• Promotes talent development and supports HR processes with the Store Manager.
• Drives engagement through recognition and adherence to employment policies.
