Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead the team, and assist with staffing. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales performance, ensure operational excellence, and develop store associates.

The role focuses on customer experience, compliance, and people leadership, including coaching and recruiting efforts to maintain strong staffing and performance across the store network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience in Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role preferred.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Help maintain staffing levels by supporting recruiting and retention.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to associates.
