Job summary

BIG LOTS in Waynesboro, VA seeks a Store Manager to lead store operations, drive sales, and maximize profits in line with company policies. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and budget adherence while ensuring excellent customer service and shrinkage control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of store management experience.
• Excellent English communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to train and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outgoing, enthusiastic rapport with customers and provide excellent service.
• Complete and supervise the Management Training Program.
• Hire and train an Assistant Manager with District Manager approval.
• Supervise store personnel and manage payroll budget with Assistant Manager.
• Inform District Manager of problems or opportunities and escalate as needed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control shrinkage within policy thresholds.
• Ensure safety policies are enforced and store cleanliness is maintained.
