Job summary

Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will supervise staff, assist with scheduling, training, and visual merchandising, and ensure compliance with brand standards.

The role reports to the Store Manager, supports loss prevention, handles cash, opens/closes, and participates in inventory processes. Previous retail leadership preferred; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints.
• Lead and coach store associates through training and goal setting.
• Administer progressive discipline as needed.
• Engage team to create a fun, productive environment aligned with policies.
• Maintain scheduling and staffing, including peaks staffing.
• Recruit and train store personnel on operations.
• Ensure policy compliance and safeguard assets.
• Support sales strategy to hit KPIs and customer service targets.
• Handle cash operations and daily till closures.
• Prepare store for inventory audits and assist audits.
• Open and close store per SOPs.
