Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Madison is seeking a Store Manager to lead a team at the Monona, WI location. You will drive a great customer experience, deliver on KPI targets, and ensure the store operates within budget while upholding brand promises.

Responsibilities include staffing and coaching, performance management, safety programs, and cross-training across framing and other departments. This is a on-site, full-time leadership role in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience with knowledge of inventory management, merchandising and customer service.
• 2+ years of experience directly supervising a diverse team, including performance management and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the store, ensuring SOPs and company programs are followed.
• Deliver sales plan and KPI targets; manage staff to achieve goals.
• Lead the execution of our customer brand promises and safety/shrink programs.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop Team Members; manage performance and discipline when needed.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and maintain cross-trained capabilities across departments.
