Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-first store and support the Store Manager in supervising staff and merchandising. You will handle deposits, cashier duties, and daily paperwork while protecting company assets.

You will assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and ensuring policy compliance. This role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training employees.
• Follow processes for stocking, receiving, and merchandising displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and manage damages and markdowns.
• Support planogram implementation and product presentation.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits.
• Provide store leadership in the Store Manager's absence.
