Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise store employees, manage merchandise presentation, and assist with deposits and store paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise and support store staff and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise reception, stocking, rotation, and displays.
• Support inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Assist with planogram implementation and merchandising presentation.
• Maintain fiscal integrity with cashier controls, refunds, and deposits.
• Assist with store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
