Dollar General Corporation seeks an experienced Store Manager in Pascagoula, MS to lead all store operations, including staffing, training, cash control, and inventory management. You will drive performance, ensure safety standards, and maintain exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include recruiting, evaluating staff, managing scheduling, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsabilités

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures that the store is appropriately staffed and effectively opened and closed each day.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends (including sales, profitability, and turn).
• Orders to ensure the meeting or exceeding of in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory management issues weekly.
• Facilitates the efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise.
• Ensures that all merchandise is presented according to established practices; utilize fixtures properly including pricing and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Ensures the financial integrity of the store through cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, well-organized store; safe and secure working and shopping environment.
• Follows Company policies and procedures; ensures employee compliance.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines.
