Job summary

Dollar General Pascagoula is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in employee supervision, staffing, inventory, stocking, and store needs. This role focuses on developing external candidates for the Store Manager position and is temporary in duration.

You will assist in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, cash handling, and customer service leadership while adhering to company policies and procedures. Strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with staffing and recruitment activities.
• Strong merchandising and shelving skills.
• Proficient in inventory controls and cycle counts.
• Cash handling experience and POS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing per store direction.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and prepare inventories.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and store safety.
• Participate in store opening/closing and cash control procedures.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation.
