J.Crew Group in Encinitas is hiring an Associate Manager to lead a store team and drive profitability while delivering exceptional customer service. You will coach staff, manage operations, and partner with the Store Director to align on brand standards and community engagement.

3+ years of full-time retail management and scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends, and holidays, are required. The role involves lifting up to 40 pounds and stepping into various sales-floor roles as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time retail management experience
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds (18 kg)
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Store Director to maximize profitability
• Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling)
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology while ensuring accountability
• Support Store Director with recruiting, training and development efforts
• Partner with Store Director and management team to curate a collaborative working environment for all associates
• Ensure the team is always on track to exceed goals and provide best-in-class customer service
• Come up with innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events
• Can step into a variety of roles on the sales floor, if needed
