Job summary

Family Dollar in Great Falls, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, transfers from truck to floor, and maintaining seasonal areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
