Family Dollar in Belgrade, Montana is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with merchandizing, opening/closing procedures, and executing corporate directives to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior store management experience in retail or grocery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store and stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed by associates
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and associates
• Keep store clean including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
