SpartanNash’s Family Fare/D&W operations in the Grand Rapids area are seeking an Assistant Store Director to support the Store Director and learn all aspects of store management. The role requires ensuring departments are staffed, trained, and operating efficiently while monitoring purchasing, payroll, and expenses to maintain profitability.

You’ll lead multiple departments, supervise staff, and drive customer satisfaction.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Three years of experience in a retail grocery environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
• One year of supervisory or lead experience in a retail setting.
• Proficient computer skills including email and spreadsheets.

Mansioni

• Regular inspections of all areas, providing feedback to department managers.
• Review reports, take action and communicate information as needed.
• Engage in financial planning including budgeting, staffing/payroll, facility maintenance and upgrading.
• Communicate and work with SpartanNash personnel.
• Train others to perform all department activities and functions.
• Manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others.
• Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and customer-friendly department.
• Familiarity with products in the department; understand price, taste, preparation, use.
