SpartanNash is seeking a Store Director to lead daily operations across Grand Rapids area locations, ensuring staffing, training, and adherence to company standards. The role focuses on driving store performance, budget management, and a customer-centric culture.

The candidate will oversee department leadership, develop budgets, and monitor financial performance while ensuring compliance with safety and merchandising programs. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration or related field.
• Five years of experience in a retail grocery environment with increasing responsibility.
• Two years of experience in an assistant store manager or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with retail store operations and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused and effective leadership to store associates to develop a high performing, customer-focused culture.
• Oversee staffing, training, performance management, and development across departments.
• Develop and monitor department budgets; prepare quarterly and yearly budgets.
• Manage store P&L including sales, gross profit, and controllable expenses.
• Ensure compliance with safety, HR, merchandizing, loss prevention, and OSHA standards.
• Implement and oversee labor control and payroll expense programs; drive service programs like OWN IT!
• Engage with local community to strengthen company presence.
• Stay updated on industry trends and recommend program improvements.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.
