SpartanNash is seeking an Assistant Store Director in Midland, Michigan. This role supports the Store Director by ensuring departments are staffed, trained, and operating efficiently while safeguarding store profitability through financial oversight.

You will supervise scheduling, budgeting, and payroll, train team members, and maintain a clean, customer-friendly environment. ABachelor's degree and retail grocery experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Three years of experience in a retail grocery environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
• One year of experience in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a retail environment.
• Proficient computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Accounting / bookkeeping skills & ability to interpret financials.
• Develop / manage budgets; delegate / direct / implement.

Responsabilités

• Regular inspections of all areas, providing feedback to department managers.
• Review reports, take action and communicate information as needed.
• Engage in financial planning including budgeting, staffing/payroll, facility maintenance and upgrading.
• Communicate and work with SpartanNash personnel.
• Train others to perform all department activities and functions.
• Manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others.
• Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service or assistance.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and customer-friendly department.
• Have familiarity with all products carried in the department.
