Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Chesapeake, VA. You will be the heart of the store, helping drive sales, coaching the team, and ensuring a superior customer experience. You’ll manage scheduling, training, and daily store operations while upholding brand standards.

You’ll Lead by example in merchandising, cash handling, and store upkeep, with a focus on meeting KPIs, loss prevention, and providing an inclusive, energetic workplace for staff. Competitive benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc. when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting, and regular follow up when Store Manager is not present.
• Administer the progressive steps of discipline including verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment, and explaining how their work supports company objectives.
• Recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.
• Open and close the store as required following the Operations procedures.
• Maintain cash handling practices including opening/closing the till and bank drops.
