Job summary

Family Dollar in Greensboro, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with daily store activities, merchandise organization, and ensure compliance with company policies.

You will also assist in opening/closing, payroll and scheduling records, and loss prevention efforts while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor. This role is part-time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and conduct frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling while adhering to policies.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays to ensure promotional effectiveness.
