Job summary

The Salvation Army Wahiawa Thrift Store is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in daily operations and to lead a team of store employees. This full-time role emphasizes customer service, donor relations, and merchandising standards to support the ARC program.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, at least 2 years of retail management experience, and skilled cash handling.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
Must accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
Must pass background check (Criminal history and sex offender registry).
Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

Taking an active role with Store Manager in day-to-day operation of the store.
All day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
Providing coaching, training, and development to store employees.
Ensuring customer/donor needs are met by maintaining good relations; resolve complaints quickly and efficiently.
Communicating personnel issues with Management in absence of Store Manager; may issue disciplinary warnings and evaluations.
Ensuring store merchandising standards and adequate inventory levels are maintained.
Overseeing Back Room Processing and cash handling procedures at opening.
