Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in our Missouri location. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening/closing procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, store management experience in retail, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret and explain directives
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing)

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store presentation
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll, scheduling and cash deposits
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized store areas per company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash, and general presentation
• Other duties as assigned
