Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, improve customer service, and develop the team at our Missouri location. You will assist with daily tasks, organize merchandise transfers, and ensure a safe, neat, and welcoming store environment for customers and associates.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, implementing directives, managing displays, payroll/scheduling, loss prevention, and staff training under the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and recording payroll/scheduling/cash deposits.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
