Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include daily store functions, assisting customers, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.

The role emphasizes supervision of associates, training, and creating a positive, safe environment for customers and colleagues while maintaining a clean, well-organized store floor and stockroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness across the store, restrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
