Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Omaha, NE seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, ordering, payroll and loss prevention while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates. This is a part-time role with growth opportunities; strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain displays, and handle store communications.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll and scheduling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect assets and ensure cash handling procedures.
• Adhere to policies, train and develop store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
