Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role includes coordinating daily tasks, assisting customers, and ensuring merchandising standards.

The position is part-time and located in a retail setting. You will help with opening/closing, staff training, and maintaining a positive, safe work environment while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and data requests related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, record-keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
