Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will support daily tasks, supervise associates, and ensure a clean, organized store environment.

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked selling floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; handle bathrooms, floors, and waste.
