Dollar General in Cleveland, TN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to maintain a clean, customer-first store and support the Store Manager with supervision and merchandising.

You will help with staffing, training, safety, and ensure inventory accuracy while protecting assets and maximizing profitability. This role requires strong communication, problem solving, and cash-handling skills, with the ability to work evenings or weekends.

Formación

• High school diploma strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year in retail and 6 months supervisory experience.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• Ability to operate cash register and scanner.

Responsabilidades

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise, including receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Assist with planograms; ensure merchandise is presented as directed.
• Ensure cash controls and deposits; authorize refunds and overrides as needed.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
