Job summary

Englefield Oil Company seeks an Assistant Manager at our Ohio location to lead daily store operations, coach staff, and ensure exceptional customer service. You’ll partner with the Store Manager to drive performance, maintain standards, and deliver a welcoming experience for every guest.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of leadership in retail or food service, a high school diploma, and comfort with scheduling, inventory, and POS tech.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in retail or food service.
• Team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable with scheduling, inventory, and basic store systems.
• Familiar with POS systems and basic software (Word, Excel, Email).
• ServeSafe certification – Required or willingness to obtain.
• Customer-focused and welcoming to every guest.

Responsibilities

• Support store operations including staffing, inventory, and shift leadership.
• Coach and train team members to deliver friendly, efficient service.
• Ensure the store stays clean, safe, and customer-ready.
• Lead in the Store Manager's absence to drive performance and ensure compliance.
